Casein Peptones are manufactured by enzymatic hydrolysis of selected milk proteins.

The enzymatic preparations traditionally used have long been based on natural active materials such as Pork pancreas extract (also called Pancreatin powder).
Biotech enzymes obtained by fermentation are more and more in use nowadays.

New 2005 Series product line is mostly manufactured using Biotech enzymes.

MILK PROTEINS

Due to the outbreak of the BSE and the precautionary measures that were enforced thereafter and in particular within the pharmaceutical industry, Organotechnie uses milk proteins produced in unaffected countries such as New Zealand or Australia.

Moreover, the raw materials come from milk intended for human consumption and comply with the requirements of the regulatory agencies.

Casein based Peptones or Hydrolysates are the most commonly used Animal Peptones in the microbiological industry, hence the numerous grades available offering a variety of features, from the KOSHER compliant Casein Peptone K3 to the highly purified Tryptone Plus in the new 2005 Series.
